We're Hiring: Clinic Administrative Float

Location: Travel between our UCF East Orlando and Lake Nona Clinic

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm No Weekends

What You'll Do

The Clinic Administrative Float position is a versatile team member responsible for supporting administrative functions across multiple locations within UCF Health Clinics. Effectively functions in multiple administrative roles, including, but not limited to, medical records, scheduling, referrals, and front desk.

  • Performs a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians and nursing personnel
  • Registers patients’ appointments and verify insurance
  • Schedules patient appointments via phone call, online appointment request and reschedules appointments due to template changes.
  • Refers or triages patients to appropriate nursing staff.
  • Maintains, retrieves, scans and files medical records and reports of the clinic in an organized and complete manner.
  • Sorts medical records in-box.
  • Receives communication from patients via the patient portal regarding appointment changes that are needed and to update demographic information.
  • Collects and prepares laboratory specimens, Performs point-of-care testing in office
  • Ensures proper forms are signed and dated, such as consent to treat, Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN) forms, medical releases, and HIPAA forms
  • Documents results communicated to the patient after physician has reviewed the results, updates medical records
  • Determines appropriate time/types of appointments and procedures
  • Assists with internal referrals to schedule appointments
  • Sends documentation to appropriate parties regarding patient care
  • Responds to phone calls pertaining to medical records from patients, other facilities, insurance companies, and attorneys
  • Ensures requests are processed promptly. Obtains and conveys information as needed.

What We're Looking For

•Education: A high school education or GED

• Experience: 1 – 3 years of relevant healthcare experience; Current State of Florida Driver’s License

• Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities

• Tech-savvy: Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet computer skills

• Attitude: Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
